Economic and Market Update: November 2024

The focus for this update is the major macro geo-political event that has occurred since the end of October which is Donald Trump and the Republican Party regaining the White House and both congressional houses. While markets have initially responded strongly to this result, understandable due to the likelihood of corporate tax cuts, and an increase in M&A activity due to less regulation, we see his control of the House as a risk to the medium-term outlook.
