PIVOT – Episode 1: From Managing Director to the United Nations World Food Program

We’re excited to launch our new podcast series, PIVOT, where we meet with people who have made a significant change of direction in their lives.

First up is Simon Costa, formerly the Managing Director of Costa Group, one of Australia’s largest family-owned businesses, that is today listed on the ASX, with a market capitalisation of $1.3b.

Simon’s pivot was to commence working with the United Nations World Food Programme and use his skills to find sustainable solutions to the problem of food loss and its devastating impact.

Simon was awarded the Pride of Australia Medal in 2016; nominated for Australian of the Year in 2018 and appointed as an Officer (AO) of the Order of Australia for his distinguished service to business and humanity in 2019.
